Still around

Long time, no post!

I have been extremely busy for the past month. My Java Programming class just wrapped up. Yay! It was a neat class and I learned a little bit but anymore programming languages are just knowing the syntax and which functions to call. I can google for those answers. I suppose that is a good place to be and all considering my job.

My Brothers house is moving along nicely. Be sure to check out his Construction Photo Image Gallery for the latest updates. The wiring ruff is completed and approved. The insulation is done and the drywall is well underway. His (our) current project is vinyl siding. Vinyl siding on my one car garage, a snap! Vinyl siding on the mansion… a completely different story!

Work is discussing a plan for a flex hours schedule. IF it all pans out, for the summer break I’ll have multiple 4 day weekends, plus at least one 5 day weekend! They are going have us work a bit more each day then give us off one day each week. One week will be Friday off, the next will be Monday off. Instant 4 day weekend! Woo Hoo!! I hope it all comes to fruition.

As my friends know, I listen to Slayradio, also known as “The only radio station for coders”, because they play remixes of the Commodore 64 game music. One day during one of the live shows the DJ played a great classical version of Mario Bros performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. (Yeah they side track with some other game music every once in a while.) I thought it was awesome. So I tried to find it on the Internet. That was easy. Take a listen for yourself. During my search I also ran into a hilarious video. At least I think its hilarious. An A Capella group from Wisconsin did a musical tribute to the Nintendo complete with choreography. There is a slow bit in the middle, and the sound quality isn’t the best but I laughed so much I had to share. You can download the video here.

Enjoy!
