2005 Fall Photo Expedition

2005 Fall Photo Expedition

What a way to end a weekend!

Soon the Autumn colors will be gone, but not forgotten thanks to an awesome day of Photography with friends at the local Metro Parks.

Armed with cameras and enough computing power to impress any geek crowd, myself along with good friends/co-workers headed out to the Toledo Botanical Gardens, Wildwood Preserve, Oak Openings Preserve, and Farnsworth. As you can see from the collage (right) we had a beautiful day! Yes, all images were taken today.

You can view all images from the 2005 Fall Photo Expedition in the image gallery. If you want to see the actual exposure information for any image simply click the link in the top right corner, “Photo Properties”, in the gallery. The Photo Properties link will open a window which gives the details of the photo. Most photos were taken with my new Cokin Circular Polarizer. You can see an example of an image with one setting of the polarizer, and another image with a different setting.

One thing that is new to me is the Photomerge feature of Photoshot CS. The top image seen in the collage is actually three photos merged with Photomerge. When you view the panoramic image you will notice that only the clouds or vapor tails in the sky are noticeably merged. Otherwise, it works incredibly well!

Thanks to friends/co-workers for a great day! I hope we can make it an annual event.
