LAN Party – Christmas Break Edition
LAN partiers, Wii’ers, and PS3’ers
Atch hosting the “Christmas break, 1st Edition, LAN party!”
Twas the day after Christmas, and nobody was hyper.
Not a creature was stirring, except for a sniper.
The guns were all cleaned, and loaded with care,
in hopes that a LAN party would soon be there;
The gamers were restless and waiting for word,
The LAN party starts on Friday for all you nerds!
Visions of Team Fortress 2 danced in their head,
as everyone joined Phideux’s server, shooting opponents until they bled.
“We have taken the enemy intelligence”, the voice declared,
as a Scout sprinted away, unimpaired.
Should I take the bridge or sewer route?
A moment of thought that was deadly for the Scout.
A spy disguised as an engineer knifed him in the back.
Without a doubt, a most frustrating attack.
“Who’s up for some Tower D?” a gamer suggests.
Atch, turning green with motion sickness, is happy for the recess.
Upgrading towers while killing the creeps is the best way to compete.
And those that can kill over a hundred Ronalds are the true elite.
I can think of nothing more to say and nothing else to rhyme
So I’ll finish by saying Merry Christmas to all, and to all a great time.
The plan:
We’ll start Friday afternoon/evening (December 26th) and go into Saturday and Sunday if desired. Bring your own computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headphones and/or speakers, and any other “accessories” you need.
The food:
Feel free to bring any food and snacks. I will have chips and nacho dip in the crock pot. I could use some breakfast beverages. I didn’t know exactly what people liked so I decided to leave it up to everyone to bring something of their own choice. I will be making omelets Saturday morning for those interested.
The drink:
BYOB! In case you forget there is a Kroger about 5 minutes away.
The place:
Atch’s Place!
The when:
Friday December 26th. Setup starts as early as 1:00pm.
