I know it’s going to be kinda boring with only three iPad’s in the car. We will just need to rough it I guess.

I’m getting the car all wired up! We will have AC power to keep all your devices charged up on the drive down. I will have audio cables to the back seats which are jacked into the car stereo, that way we can all hear the sound if you’re playing a movie or music.

I just ordered a car mount for the front seat iPad, seen to the right. I asked around and people seemed to agree with me, that a windshield mount would not be the right mount for many reasons. Not the least of which were blocking the drivers view and drawing attention from the police and public.

I am also researching, again, an HD camcorder. As it turns out, the camera I was going to buy last year at this time ended up winning camcorder of the year for 2010. So I am pretty sure I’ll be getting that in time for a February launch of the Space Shuttle. I have already ordered a stand-alone digital audio recorder which captures quadraphonic sound at high resolution. These systems are becoming popular with Digital SLR cameras now that they can capture gorgeous HD video. I’m excited to hear how well it can perform.
